Description
This collection of guitar pieces takes the beginning guitar student from reading music to playing pieces of approximately Grade Two standard. It leaves the teaching of technique, hand positions, and other fundamentals to the teacher but provides material for all aspects of the very early stages of learning the guitar.
Sections include:
- Carefully graded tunes to introduce gradually all the notes in first position
- A general repertoire section with a wide range of music of various styles
- A reference section that can be consulted when a new technique or musical term is encountered. It provides music to work individually on new rhythms and melodies.
The Guitarist’s Progress is a unique and exciting resource for guitarists. Four concurrent series follow the same basic progression, making it easy for them to be used in tandem. The
Duet and
Ensemble series is designed to complement the
Solo series, as are the
Repertoire and
Young Guitarist’s Progress series.
