Cheap feel, but decent enough sound. It's so handy not to have to worry about an amp all the time and great for practicing at home. Sound distorts if you turn it up too loud.

The unit is quite large, which is a good thing. The volume is good, unfortunately at higher settings its does become distorted. I had to return it as the fitting was slightly loose on my jam mate practice strat. Tried it on a les paul, not very ideal. I think it could be suitable as a generic loud speaker for portable devices, with a smaller adaptable jack.
