Rating Review

Customer Rating I'm going to sit my grade one exams in June and these are a must have! I have been finding these pieces easy especially A1.

Customer Rating I do agree with the previous reviewer that the pieces were more challenging than previous years, but for a pupil with musicality, they really were a gift. All pupils entered for examinations on these pieces did very well as I think the variety and challenge really helps pupils rise to the challenge! Interestingly Grade 2 is VERY easy in comparison and indeed I have suggested to several pupils that we move straight to Grade 3 - something I NEVER thought I would say.

Customer Rating Is it me or has Grade 1 suddenly got much harder? I know pupils need to be challenged but in my humble opinion the standard of the pieces in this collection is overall much more difficult than in previous years. Yes, the pieces are (on the whole) interesting and well balanced (not convinced by C3 though, especially at this level!) and it's definitely worth exploring the alternative listings (A5, B5 and C5 particularly popular with my students).
