Well, I'm pretty much a beginner (with the guitar and with this book) but in my opinion the layout is very clear and I like the way the exercises gradually develop your ability to play. The explanations are also interesting, at just the right level of detail for someone such as myself who has little or no knowledge of music theory . I love the relaxed and humorous writing of the author too. Just need to see how I progress now...
