Description

Piano Adventures Primer Level orients the student to the piano through black-key pieces that explore the range of the keyboard. This is followed by off-the-staff note reading, which teaches the keyboard letter names and basic rhythms.

This lesson book organises materials into units which represent major concepts and skills, and revises and reinforces concepts introduced earlier. The pieces represented in this book also cover a range of styles.

This method truly brings a sense of adventure to learning the piano, and encourages and motivates student’s to learn, with its diverse range of repertoire and resources.

Rating Review
Customer Rating I love this book. It is very gently paced, ideal for the young beginner. The songs are tuneful, there are some fun teacher accompaniments (quite jazzy at times) and, best of all, there is a website which provides extra creative suggestions, downloadable duets, teaching tips and lesson videos for all the pieces. It is a great introduction to music-making.

Customer Rating This book seems to find the answer for all my usual niggles with tutor books. It progresses logically and at a reasonable pace, a good hand position and technique is encouraged by the music, and the pupils' hands are not tied into the thumbs on C position. Best of all, my three very different beginner pupils all love it.

Customer Rating A really good starter tutor for about seven years and upwards. It is not too childish, so even an eleven year old would enjoy it. It is paced very well - no outlandish jumps from one standard to another as in other tutors. I would recommend this to anyone.
