Rating Review
Customer Rating This starts young learners off with an enthusiastic approach, and allows them to play using both hands within a matter of weeks. My gentle criticism would be that many songs sound the same, because hands are in the same (C) position. Less patient learners may "hope" they have the piece correct, and have to be put right after practising mistakes all week. Be aware.

Customer Rating I really like this book for younger beginners, it's colourful and the pieces at the beginning are more interesting than in similar methods (especially when played with the CD). It teaches proper note reading from the beginning and introduces some hands-together playing very early on. I also find "Play Piano! Theory Activity Book" a useful addition to the course as there are only a couple of written exercises in the lesson book.
The only problem I have with this book is finding additional repertoire using the notes that students will have learnt (in the beginning just low C and G in the left hand and CDE in the right hand), which makes Christmas a bit difficult.

Customer Rating Takes begginers right from the beginning but includes both hands very simply quite quickly, so children feel they are playing properly. It keeps the the left hand simple for a good while so that coordination has time to improve.

I use it for year 3 upwards
