Growing from a simple idea of five musicians recording traditional Irish music together for the sheer love of it, Dervish has grown to become one of the most important bands in Ireland, performing everywhere from the Great Wall Of China to the spectacular Rock In Rio festival.
Combining Mandola, Flute, Whistles, Fiddle, Accordion, Vocals, Bodhran, Guitar, Harmonica and Bouzouki, their sound is deeply rooted in the Irish tradition. Each album has been met with enormous critical acclaim from fans, the media and critics the world over. Their tours have seen them perform with such names as James Brown, Oasis, Sting and The Buena Vista Social Club.
