Description

Completed in 1754 Anacreon is an enchanting Baroque ballet in one act. The mixture of Dance and sung lyrics are closer to a one act opera however. Jean-Phillipe Rameau's heroic work is one of two whose subject was Anacreon, the Greek poet who sang of love and the pleasures of wine. This Barenreiter edition is a faithful and accurate reproduction of the original containing the entire Vocal Score and a Piano reduction.
