Description

Elegy For 'Checkpoint Charlie' is a beautiful piece composed by Martin Ellerby and was originally composed for alto saxophone and junior wind band. The piano part is not a reduction, but instead a re-composed accompaniment, so as to give a little more fluidity in the keyboard writing than present in the more sustained lines of the orchestral version. The solo alto saxophone part is also included on a separate insert.

This edition has been selected as part of the ABRSM Alto and Baritone Saxophone examinations grade 5.
