Rating Review
Customer Rating There's so much wisdom in this book that it's hard to know where to start. I wish I'd had access to it when I started playing - it would have saved me so much frustration. David Mead focuses on 'real world' playing skills, so the emphasis is more on stuff like working songs out by ear, building solos from scratch and becoming a good rhythm player, rather than obsessively practising millions of scales and giving obscure Greek names to everything. I humbly suggest that his approach is the right one. Ninety percent of everything I've ever played during my 10 years of Guitar is covered by this book. I think it has something to offer most players, but I especially recommend it if you're a beginner.
