Bass Day'97 was a historic event organised by the Bass Collective NYC and Bass Player Magazine. Already an annual affair, the inaugural Bass Day brought together world class bassists, equipment manufacturers, bass students, and bass fans from all over the globe for views and an all-star jam session. Now, through the efforts of DCI Music Video, comes the release of five instructional videos and a highlights tape taht take viewers inside Bass Day '97 to learn from a wide range of top pros.

Dave Pomeroy is a first-call Nashville session bassist who has appeared on over 250 albums, 50 Top Ten singles and 5 Grammy-winning recordings with such artists as Trisha Yearwood, Emmylou Harris, George Jones and The Chieftains. In addition, he fronts the All Bass Orchestra and his own eclectic group, Tone Patrol. On his instructional video from Bass Day '97, Dave takes viewers inside Nashville demo and master sessions, while covering number charts, part development, and studieo gear. He also mans the 5-string, 4-string fretless, and the electric upright for three life performances and a demosntrastion of bluegrass, Tex-Mex blues, country rock, ballad and shuffle feels.
