Description
This Chaconne in G minor for Violin and Piano or Organ, is an impressive chamber work dating back to the early 1700s. It is increasingly exciting and courageous as successive variations become more difficult, challenging technical ability and providing a perfect showcase for both the instrument and musician.
It is not entirely certain that Tommaso Vitali was the composer of this work, though it has been attributed to him. It neither suits comparison with his other compositions nor is it identifiable in his catalogue of authenticated works.
Edited and by Charlier, David and Auer since it’s conception and upon revision, the technical demands have been further enhanced to create a truly virtuosic piece.
