Customer Rating This book is best used as an introduction to playing blues bass. Whilst not a bad book, it has very little depth and doesn't explain how to create a bass line in this style. Instead it gives you a series of riffs and solos (which again could be touched on in more detail) which are tremendously fun to play, and teach you some techniques. The 12 bar is covered pretty well, but some of the other genres, such as jazz and r'n'b are too complicated and really just for show. Still, its enjoyable, and if you like blues, a great buy.
