Rating Review
Customer Rating For anyone who watched the 'new' Forsyte Saga, "Irene's Song" captures the mood of the storyline exceptionally well. It is, I would say, a rather haunting melody encapturing Irene's existence in the Forsyte family as that of a caged songbird, longing for release. As a waltz it could easily have fell into the continuous "oom pah pah" trap, but this piece changes and develops to keep the listeners attention. Not difficult for vocalist or pianist but a worthwhile addition to your repetoire, that an audience will appreciate.
