Rating Review
Customer Rating The book has lots of examples of slide riffs and they're all on the cd, all 97 of them. Its really helped me get a grasp on the fundamentals of slide guitar, showing me techniques I knew nothing about and which I could build on. Dave's book is really a valuable resource for slide guitar. Worth every penny.

Customer Rating I've been a fan of slide guitar for a long time now - all styles from Son House and Elmore James to Ry Cooder and Bonnie Raitt. I'd managed to work out a few things myself but only basic stuff. Then I bought this book! It is without doubt the best guitar tutor (of any kind or of any style) I've ever come across. Right from the start it gets you playing great sounding slide. It has just the right balance of theory and practical. It starts off with simple exercises based on D/E and G/A tunings that a complete beginner could cope with - but even these sound great. It then progresses to solo playing in various styles and complexities. These sound even better. The title emphasises the 'electric' aspect and admittedly it contains more 'lead'-style slide than 'acoustic accompaniment'-style but I play most of this on acoustic as well and it sounds just as good. I've bought 3 slide books and this is without exception the best. If you want to learn slide I can't believe you'd ever find a better book than this.
