Customer Rating As a student of music in West Virginia, I decided to play Brahms' "First Sonata for Clarinet and Piano" as my solo for this year. When I first started practicing it, I realized that though some of the melodies were challenging, especially in the second movement, but after working at them, I soon picked up on them. Though the altissimo notes don't go higher than F, some of the lower notes and rhythms are more challenging as a result. The third movement, in my opinion, is very beautiful. It has mainly lower notes, but they blend together in a very lovely way. In all, I highly recommend this piece for students, but not necessarily for professionals.
