Description

Weber wrote his Concertino for clarinet and orchestra in E flat major (1811) for Heinrich Bärmann, one of the most accomplished clarinettists of the day. As the instrument was relatively new, Weber's works for the clarinet broke new ground by affording it a new measure of prominence and displaying its wide-ranging capabilities for both expressivity and virtuosic display. The Concertino consists of three short movements that conform to the traditional.

Customer Reviews

Rating Review
Customer Rating This piece of music is very broad. It has nice tempo changes, and corresponding key signatures. The piece has a nice attitude, and has good mood changes. I enjoyed playing this piece for a contest, and hope to play more of Weber's music in the future.

Customer Rating Nice to play, can really put your feeling into it, however i still prefer the Grand Concertant Duo - Its abit more exciting.

Customer Rating A great show-piece, very virtuosic and will go down well at any concert! Its about 9 mins, which means it fits nicely into a 10 min slot if you ever enter competitions etc.

Some tricky piano bits as it is an orchestral reduction, but works fine!

Highly recommended!
