Customer Reviews

Rating Review
Customer Rating These are marvellously inventive arrangements that allow each piece to be played in four different ways;

• Tune and a simple accompaniment,
• Tune and a more difficult but harmonically more interesting accompaniment,
• Just the two recorders and
• Both recorder parts with the simple accompaniment.

For our performance we varied the instrumentation with the demands of each movement. Sweet Jenny Jones has a beautiful advanced guitar part, so we used that with a solo recorder.

For Country Gardens, we played it through first time with the two recorders and simple guitar, repeating with the advanced guitar but bringing in the second recorder and switching back to the simple guitar for the final four bars.

An uncredited editor has added some very sensible fingerings that made the guitar parts playable by an experienced guitarist after only a couple of hours rehearsal.

Great fun to perform and warmly received by our audience.
