Description

Jamie Cullum follows up his 2004 smash hit album Twentysomething with another fabulous collection of Jazz-pop songs and standards.

Catching Tales confirms his ability as a songwriter, singer, pianist and rounded musician. Cullum incorporates rock, dance, pop, classical and funk all gelled together with his usual heavy dose of Jazz, enjoying the freedom this idiom affords. He applies his unique approach to a number of Jazz standards but there is more original, self-written material than ever before.

Customer Rating This has got to be the best Jamie Cullum songbook available so far. The major difference from the simplistic 'Twentysomething' songbook is the inclusion of accurate piano lines, with a seperate vocal line above them. Not only is this a perfect arrangement from his album, but includes all the solos written out in the score, and yes it includes the nice sax solo in 'Oh God'. The difficulty varies throughout the book, with some of his solos being nearly impossible to play! (Well he is amazing..!) It's definately worth the money, and is a must buy for any Cullum fan.
