I think that James Rae's 40 Modern Studies For Solo Clarinet is a great book because the pieces are fun to play and have loads of challenging elements. I got full marks for my Study in my AB exam thanks to Tumbledown Blues!

An absolute must for novice and intermediate clarinetists. Terrific variety of style and level. This one you will come back to over and over again.

Forty modern studies for solo Clarinet is a great book and I would definately recommend it to any player of any level. This book will last up to diploma and has some very enjoyable pieces in it. James Rae has written some great songs and has created a great book.

This book has proved extremely popular with my students. The studies are both challenging and enjoyable to play. Due to it providing an exercise for grades 1 through to 7, it represents the best value for money.
