Description

This revolutionary way for drummers to learn rhythms uses your natural ability to use rhythm when stressing the syllables of words. For example, saying huck-le-ber-ry or wood-pec-ker gives you an instant understanding of specific rhythms. When rhythms are associated with words in this way, they're easy to understand... and easy to learn!

Rating Review

Customer Rating One of the great strengths of this book is that it starts with the absolute basics and from there progresses only very gradually, allowing the novice to overcome the initial hurdles of coordination and reading relatively easily, and leaves them with significant and deserved feelings of achievement. Another strength is the accompanying CD tracks which are great little compositions in a simple and uniform 24-bar verse-chorus-verse format. This book is first class and knocks others I've used into a cocked hat.

Customer Rating I found 'Drumsteps Say and Play Book 1' the best drum book I have ever used. The book makes it easy to learn basic Drum rhythms and progress to more advanced ones towards the end of the book. The CD is excellent and has many great play-along tracks to improve your skills. I give this book ten out of ten and recommend it to all drummers.

Customer Rating The Drumsteps Say and Play Book 1 is an excellent book for beginners. I think it is the best book I have ever used and should be on every future percussion superstars’ Christmas list! It is very easy to understand and the beats are very well explained.
