Rating Review
Customer Rating There are some interesting arrangements in this collection. Some of it is in 6 parts and there is quite a lot of Swingle Singers "doot doot doo" and "shoo be doo wa". But there are some songs that I would like to try with my choir.

Customer Rating Here we go again books of "popular" arrangements!
There are a host of decent arrangers chosen for this collection but as we have seen in the past they arrangements that have been selected are typically underwhelming. Why do publishing houses insist on asking people who are classically trained to edit collections that are "popular". For example Kirby Shaw has published over 2500 arrangements for choirs and in this collection we are graced with "Goodnight Sweetheart"!?!?!?!? This wasn't even a good doo-wop song! How did this song make it into the collection. Oh I know.... all the arrangements were pre chosen and Ralph just had to put his name to it...Duh stupid me. Surely Ralph Allwood wouldn't have chosen such a collection of arrangements from a group of otherwise talented arrangers?! Please tell me that's what happened.

Customer Rating My choir loves this book. Yes, there is a bit too much 'doo be doo' to use several pieces in a single concert but there is plenty there for a lighter second half programme.
They are a bit of a challenge for an average amateur choir, but satisfying to sing once mastered. I would recommend this book.
