This is one of the best clarinet tutors around, the pupils can't wait to get on to the next stage. When used in conjunction with the piano accompaniment book, progress can be very quick and pupils are ready to start grade 2 exam work by the end of the book.

I have recently started using this tutor book with beginner pupils after using another book for many years and I am favourably impressed. It moves at a suitable pace for young beginners and my pupils and I enjoy the amusing pictures and titles as well as the variety of tunes and the quiz which each chapter contains.

It's a bit unfair to give it three stars as there is nothing wrong with the book, it is just not what i was hoping for.
If you are a beginner in music and your first instrument is a clarinet and you have regular scheduled lessons with a qualified teacher, then this book is excellent.
The clarinet would be my third study so I don't find the music theory parts of the book helpful and there is virtually no talk of technique, assembly, embouchure, the break etc.
Great book, not what I wanted.

Great way to start out with a great teachers book full of duets and piano accomps. Very good book! Also some pieces are on the list for exams.
