Customer Rating This is an excellent starter for anyone wanting to learn finger picking, be you an absolute beginner or someone like me who had thrashed chords for 30 years but wanted to become a 'real' guitar player. The pace of the backing tracks are nice and easy and you progress from very simple exercise/techniques to more complex variations of Spanish, country (boom-ching)etc. The various songs which teach the techniques are generally concise and you should not feel intimidated when starting out with each new technique. Also the teaching technique through these specific songs it is much more motivational than scales and boring exercises. You are actually learning songs to amaze your friends and family, this is what kept me motivated through the whole book.
