This is just fantastic. A great selection of Steve's incredible guitar playing in one volume.Although this stuff is certainly not for the faint hearted, it's worth having a go just to truly realize how far you can take the guitar and even if you don't manage to crack one whole song in its entirety, you are sure to improve in the process. Saying that, "Die to Live," and "Sisters," are two very accessible tracks. "The boy from Seattle," is great for chords and Hendrix-like licks but with some great innovations. And finally, no Vai compilation would be complete with out the mind bending, awe-inspiring excesses of "Jibboom," and "The Attitude Song." Don't be intimidated, there's nothing quite like savouring the sweet satisfaction of playing a Vai track all the way through note perfect! Great fun!
