Customer Rating As a complete novice I found the book very good but a little old fashioned. CD was very helpful but needs to have bigger gaps between exercises to help practice times.

Customer Rating As a complete Beginner myself (and not having any clue about how to play or even hold a Bodhran!!) This book and CD is absolutely brilliant! I found myself drumming along to the exercises and CD when I was only meant to be listening the first time round!! It is really accessible to anyone, and is really fun too! The CD gives exercises to play along to, but also includes more realistic songs and exercises where the Bodhran is not the only instrument - perfect if you want to play within a band! I would recommend this to anyone wishing to take up the Bodhran – Enjoy!
