Customer Reviews

Rating Review
Customer Rating I have had more enjoyment from this saxophone book/cd than any other. The arrangements are superb in that they offer so much to a keen intermediate player (like myself) - recognisable melodies with straightforward and more advanced sections and useful improvised ideas as well. The soloist has a great tone and follows the music exactly which I've found very helpful for improving my sight reading and timing.
Currently working on 'Round Midnight. Great fun!

Customer Rating A brilliant book. Certainly amongst my top favourites Music/CD books, with some classic blues melodies that are fun to learn and which everyone knows, such as "Midnight", "Hit the Road Jack" and my favourite, "I wish I knew how it would feel to be free". I'm to do grade 4 tenor sax soon, and it's at the right level for me, with a few challenging ones to learn. A very high recommendation for any tenor sax player.

Customer Rating The backing track is excellent, not like some publications which use a computerised backing, rather than real instruments. The tracks were of a good length and not too difficult for a part-time player like me. I really enjoyed this publication from the first time I played it.
