Customer Rating The MicroJazz Collection 2 is an excellent introduction to the various Jazz genre's. I was trained classically to Grade 5 standard and this book was suggested to me by my new piano teacher. Each piece is contained on a single page, is easy to pick up and helps introduce various keyboard techniques required for playing Jazz music. The pieces have catchy beats and tunes you want to hum in the car. Many of them contain the "off beat" rhythms that, once learnt, help enhance your improvisation whether in a music group or on your own. Playing these tunes have helped me gain confidence in my own playing. Now I want to move onto real pieces that last longer. I intend to buy the next stage MicroJazz Collection 3 and some of the MicroStyles collection. My recommendation is "Buy it!".
