Description

The Lemonade Kid is a rootin'-tootin' Wild West musical, telling of a town being tamed against all odds by a plucky bargirl and the only man brave enough not to carry a gun. Eight great new songs including a hoe-down dance. An excellent, fun way of getting across a very serious message. Suitable for Key Stage 2 (7-11 years). The Pupil's Book contains the script and songwords. The separate Teacher's Book (GA11330) contains the piano score and production notes, and CD of demonstration and backing tracks. Rating Review
Customer Rating I think it's an awesome title, it explains what the play is about, but doesn't ruin the story behind it.
I did this play in year 6 for my end of year production, I was 11, I'm coming up for being 14 now, I'm in year 9 at High School and the memories from doing this amazing play still linger, I loved it.
I played Daisy, who'd been forced out of her house with her husband Hank by big bad one eyed Jack, the play went down a storm and the songs still go round in my head.
I think the message was fantastic, you don't HAVE to be a big bully to make a difference, bigger isn't always best, and you really DON'T need a gun to change the world...we're in this thing together.
I loved it, really I did, I'll never forget that play, it was amazing.
