Latifa Walker

Expertise: Guitar, bass, woodwind, sheet music

Latifa’s first instrument lessons were on the clarinet at the age of 9, and as a result, joined her school orchestra. In her early teens, she had a taste of Rock ‘n Roll and took up electric guitar lessons, then later on switched to bass, as she found herself talking over guitar solos and listening intensely to bass lines - much to the annoyance of her husband! Latifa also has previous experience of working for Music World, Southampton.

Latifa’s musical interests are primarily rock and metal, but she’ll give anything a listen….. just check her iPod for evidence! She is also taking Belly Dance lessons, loves photography and is often happily snapping away at live gigs.

Rosie Kendall

Expertise: Voice, Piano & Music Technology

Rosie is an energetic and outgoing person and loves meeting and getting to know new people. She has been playing violin for 11 years and Saxophone for 7. Rosie also plays a 'little bit of' piano too. Aside from Music, Rosie has a big interest in History, particularly the social history of WWII

James Burns

Expertise: Voice, Piano & Music Technology

James has been involved in music from a very young age, and has dabbled in many instruments, ranging from flute to the ukulele. In most recent years, James has been mainly focusing on composing and singing, and has achieved Grade 5 theory, and Grade 6 singing with the view of upping those both to Grade 8 within a year. James is starting his A2 year in September studying Music, Music Technology & English Language

Alistair Smyth

Expertise: Bass, Guitar, Mandolin, Banjo, Bouzouki and all things folk.

Al plays double bass in fun-filled folk trio ‘Electric Eden’ and is a keen live performer graduating form the University of Winchester with a BA Honours Degree in Contemporary Performance. Al splits his time between music and performance working with SOOP Theatre, the resident theatre company at The Spring Arts Center in Havant. Combining music with theatre gives a unique opinion when it comes to an instrument’s comfort and style, both playing and wearing, pairing this with the right tone gives a performer everything the need to deliver a show.
