This edition is for both practical and scholarly use and seeks as far as possible to reflect the work in the version last sanctioned by the composer. Includes an Introduction giving a brief account of the genesis of the work and its place in the composer's oeuvre and Critical Commentary including source description, editorial ammendations and additions and important alternative readings. All commentary is in Danish as well as English.
