The Young Violinist's Repertoire Book 1 is an excellent introduction to the literature of the violin, which has been selected and edited by Paul de Keyser and Fanny Waterman. Especially for the young player, the pieces are progressively arranged from the earliest stages to intermediate standard. Every piece is for the first position and has a piano accompaniment.
The solo violin part is also included on a separate insert.
