Technical Development For Harpists contains short technical exercises to demonstrate, and invite reflection upon, technical development in practice and performance. The exercises are not intended to be a complete teaching manual harp and they do not show where a particular technique must be introduced. They form a compendium of useful skills for any player, and they demonstrate what should have been achieved through continuing attention to technical work. Scales and arpeggios form an important part of this work but take their place alongside other technical skills.
This is an invaluable guide for harpist’s from grades 1-8 in standard and has been written and compiled by Danielle Perrett.
