This collection of Orchestral Solos has been prepared primarily for the convenience of students who wish to take the Licentiate Diploma examination of Trinity College London. However, it will also be of great benefit to teachers, for students preparing to undertake orchestral playing (and in particular for orchesral auditions). The pieces have been chosen to provide the maximum variety of period and style and to give the student a clear idea of the versatility of technique required by the orchestral player.
