Christmas is an exciting time for the student singer, presenting lots of opportunities for performance as the seasonal celebrations gather momentum. These songs are familiar, melodious and relatively accessible, adding an extra dimension to the standard repertoire. Each song has been carefully devised to remain comfortably in a middle to lower-middle tessitura, ideal for the inexperienced singer.
The accompaniments are suitable for the intermediate pianist, but retain a fresh and contemporary flavour. A CD is also included, offering both professional performances that illustrate model interpretations, and an accompaniment track for practice.
