Mozart wrote Don Giovanni on behalf of the city of Prague and conducted the first night on October 29th 1787. On the 200th anniversary of Mozart's death, Charles Mackerras conducted Don Giovanni in the same theatre, which has been restored as the Prague National Theatre. A great live recording featuring the Theatre's resident Orchestra, Choir and Ballet.

Conductor Sir Charles Mackerras leads the performance, with Andrei Bestschastny, Dalibor Jedlicka, Nadezdha Petrenko as the main protagonists.
