Folk songs are the natural, instinctive musical reflections of people all over the world, having grown out of the need for self expression, for instance political satire or to feel free from the shackles of slavery.
Folk songs are also an ideal resource of material for the beginning piano students as the familiar and traditional tunes facilitate learning. This volume presents a graded collection of carefully chosen, attractive melodies, for solo piano. All songs are arranged for elementary levels.
