Introduced to Broadway in 1971 it is based on the last seven days of Jesus of Nazareth, it is a monumental and invigorating production. With music written by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics Tim Rice, this was their first production on the professional stage and started Webber’s prolific run of successful stage musicals.
