David Willcocks: High Word of God, Eternal Light (SATB)

High Word of God, Eternal Light (Verbum supernum, prodiens) for SATB choir with divisions and Organ accompaniment, including both Latin and English language versions. David Willcock's resonant arrangement of the ancient matins hymn in the Sarum rite was written for The Advent Carol Service in King's College, Cambridge, 2007. The melody weaves between different voices and scorings and builds to a thunderous climax. The carol may be sung in English or Latin.
