Simply Beautiful! A great arrangement, and a fantastic performance piece - not a dry eye in the house!
I accompanied over one hundred primary school children performing 'Jonah Man Jazz'. Wow! I've never forgotten it and neither have the children. The running time isn't very long at all, about ten minutes I think. However, the music is absolutely fantastic and is guaranteed to blow the audience away. The piano part is a little bit challenging in some songs (if you're not used to playing jazz) but totally enjoyable and well worth the extra practice. You won't be disappointed!
This book has been so popular with KS2 children! The version of hallelujah is stunning, especially if sung in parts - i have some Y6 girls who simply love floating of the melody line with the harmonies! Spongebob is always requested (by the boys I might add), and of course Breaking Free from High School Musical - need I say more!!! Piano parts are delightful, and it comes with a useful CD if you're not a piano player. The best buy I've made this year!
ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS is an understatement for this piece of music. I've used two of the three parts with the primary school choir, and also performed this as an instrumental piece at a wedding. The melody is quite simple and beautiful, and the chord changes make this piece simply stunning! The piano part isn't too difficult either. You can't do anything else but love it.
If you're a fan of the Rocky Horror Picture Show, and you play the piano - this is an absolute must. It also comes with the backing CD so you can sing till your heart's content, and the words are in the book (assuming you don't know them all of by heart like I do).
The songs in this book are very sweet, the melodies are simple and not too high! Also, there is a lot of repetition, so the songs don't take long to learn. The children really enjoy singing them and the piano part is fairly easy too!
