Excellent! This is the book I recommend pupils to buy if they are wanting to tackle the challenges of sight singing. It introduces rhythms and notes in a slow yet challenging way. There are explanations as well as further exercises at each level at the end of the book. A really good introduction. Now the book is reviewed my pupils will know which book to order!

I was recommended this book whilst at music college, and have continued to use it for my own professional use, but more recently for more advanced students. It has a combination of background notes for each song, literal translations of the italian text and detailed IPA breakdowns of the Italian pronounciation. Not only is it an excellent way to introduce singing in Italian, it supports the student.
