This is a wonderful medley of songs, dances, action poems, chants, and rhythm activities, with ideas which were all drawn from the author's experiences with children. It includes a lovely three part round called 'Loch Sridan' and 'Lotty's Shadow Dance' which is a lot of fun. Alison doesn't avoid challenges in this collection - as illustrated by the Irish Jig with a 2-3-2-2 beat pattern, and the inclusion of Blake's 'Little Lamb', a 2-part song. An excellent resource to supplement work with primary age children. It is packed with opportunities to teach musical (and other) concepts.
