Although not as 'funky' as the previous 3 albums with John Frusciante propelling the Chilis with his fantastic guitar playing, By The Way certainly does have some very melodic sequences to it, and i would recommend this book to all Chili fans, and also for guitarists to improve rhythm patches and general chord work, which is the basis of this album.

A good tutor package, with a CD with full instrumental tracks on it. However, this is more of an advanced player's guide, as you need a decent single coil guitar and a good amp to get anywhere near Brian May's tone. Also the songs covered are not in their full entirety- as songs like A Kind Of Magic and Crazy Little Thing Called Love only cut in at around the first solos, skipping the first part of the song, leaving the guitarist to improvise. It can be tricky to get it to sound right, but all in all it's a good book as Queen's music on guitar tab is hard to find.

A must have for aspiring guitarists, this book is excellent, the tablature is accurate and Frusciante shows what a god he is in his early days with the Chili Peppers. This has to be my favorite Chili album as it has some of the best songs on there that keep the ears interested, and to be able to play along with the songs is great.

A great book that emulates some of Kravitz's greatest works. Definitely a book for intermediate to advanced players, as Kravitz is a fast player with plenty of challenges in his music that can take ages to get totally right. All in all this is a highly enjoyable book that is accurate and good value for money.
