Yet again the minimalist composer has proven his ability to make peotic, thought provoking music accessible to all pianists in a clear and well bound edition which no doubt will inspire many performers world over.

Philip Glass is best known for his recent soundtrack to the film "The Hours" and this minimalism piano collection is on a similar theme. The collection of "Metamorphosis 1-5" perhaps shows limiting musical development, however like Ludovico Einaudi, they provide easy listening and are generally enjoyable and challenging to play. "Wichita Vortex Sutra" is in my opinion the best in this piano album, being the most expressive and showing the most musical development. In all, a good buy for any musician keen on Glass' minimalist style.

Sing And Praise ~ Songbook Variado (Piano, Voz y Guitarra (Símbolos de los Acordes))

This book is ideal for a church pianist who is looking for modern, uptempo hymns. The quality of the print is first rate and the book arrives in plastic packaging! Great buy!

An outstanding collection of music for the Advent and Christmas season. There are pieces for any Church choir, no matter what standard. I particularly like the arrangement of 'Of The Father's Love Begotten'.

I am an absolute Michael Nyman fanatic and when I recieved this book through the post, I had high expectations. The book proved to be better than I could have imagined and is a must have for any pianist. Nyman has an ability to use a range of styles to suit the film he composes for and he is sensitive and understanding of the genre. Time Lapse is one of my favourite pieces in the book, as is If. All fans of the film 'The Piano', will find The Heart asks Pleasure First a joy to play. Top stuff Chester Music!

This is a lovely piece of music and well worth purchasing. This piano version is almost identical to John Williams' guitar version and so can be played along with the original recording.

A bumper, and exciting collection of virtuosic organ music. I love playing these rousing and uplifting pieces at the end of church services and as finale pieces to recitals. I know people have fears that Dover Publishing can release some music that is squashed onto the stave and is quite unclear and whilst this might be the case with, for instance, the Widor Toccata, the other pieces are clearly typeset and this collection therefore represents excellent value.

A fantastic book for the amateur organist. Firstly, it is a good selection of classical favourites that are often requested and secondly, with the exception of one or two - the pieces are not too difficult. I highly recommend this book.

Blues For Piano ~ Álbum Instrumental (Piano Solo y Guitarra (Símbolos de los Acordes))

This collection is an absolutely superb collection of Blues pieces. The arrangements are very well done and this is a very nicely presented publication.

Michael Nyman has once again worked his compositional magic with this excellent set of pieces for the Michael Winterbottom film. One of the advantages is that the music is instantly accessible and does not require a high standard of ability. Despite the high price of this book, I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a relaxing book of light modern classical music.
