As a total novice at playing the guitar, (thanks Santa), I wanted something that actually was achievable. This is it. Starting with simple chords, each shown in clear photographs, it is laid out in a gentle but quick progression, that allows you to feel that you are achieving something. The enclosed CD includes complete backing tracks to play along with, not just 'the sound you should be making', and the tips and further referances are valid and informative. I would recommend this to any who wishes to take up the instrument. I don't think that anyone with a basic knowledge of playing will find the book that useful, and some may find the simplistic style a little too basic, but personally I've found this to be just what I need. Gary Moore look out!
Very nice strings, and a full set for the price normally expected of a single string. Lovely pitch and tone, with a warm resonance. Would advise to replace full set on first string change, as sound is different to strings in place already, but after that I see no problem with changing one at a time. If you have an acoustic, buy these now before it's too late
These are a must buy for any guitarist!!! I have just received 2 of these (after much hinting at my family) for my Birthday, and am so impressed.... They fasten to the wall (with all fittings included) quickly and easily, just 2 small holes needed to be drilled. They then hold your guitar firmly out of the way up on the wall. My initial worry about the guitar banging on the wall was totally unfounded, the end product holding your axe firmly around 4-5 inches from the wall. A+ product - should be included in any guitarists wish list!
