This sonata is really beautiful. The first and third pieces are of a 7/8 standard and are a little tricky in places whereas the second is a 6/7 standard. This is a very unusual and moving set of pieces which concentrate on the tonality of the playing.

The actual piece is really nice, I've been playing the first movement of the concerto in D and its a really nice piece. This doesn't have a cadenza in the back but if you want to write your own then it's good. I like the fact that it hasn't been changed at all, like some copies. Its quite an endurance feat, so only get it if you've got the lung capacity. (The first movement of the G is 7 minutes at concert speed, and between 9-10 if you play it at around crotchet=110. But overall a great piece, around grade 8 standard.
