A well laid out and clearly written book which outlines the requirements for Grade 3 in a clear and structured way. Each of the pieces has a short paragraph of information at the end which gives information on the piece, the composer and also playing hints as required.
This book was recommended to me by my piano teacher and I am very pleased with it. It is a well laid out book which takes you through the process of sightreading in a logical and progressive manner, and explains the technique involved in learning good sightreading. There are a series of exercises to practise followed by a test piece at the end. My only comment is that you have to be disciplined enough not to practise the test piece in advance, but this is not a criticism of the book as it would be impossible to do anything about it, and self discipline is a good quality to encourage!
