Only for good singers. Suitable for people who will pick up a piece of music, sing it for fun and then discard it. There was not much for a choir to work on, as singers of lesser ability would have to work on these pieces and few of the pieces had enough substance (or length) to be worth working on. Actually I found it rather a dull choice. I regret having spent money on it.
I thought it was a complete waste of money. The music was not nice and it seemed to be l;argely one man's exercise in taking a lot of nice music and changing it to make a name for himself and ruining it in the process. Only for people who like the sort of stuff Britten did.I did not choose a single one of these carols for our church choir and the book will never be opened by any of us again
Nice but you need a decent choir to use it, both in terms of ability and size !
Dull and of specialist interest only
Tricky accompaniment for a normal Church organist.
ok but it frankly is a bit thin with only 3 voices.
Use it if you must sing that piece and only have 3 voices otherwise choose another price for the resources available.
Easy to sing but a little dull and not up to Boyce's usual standard.
