I love this book! I myself use it to practise layering in music technology, I sing both soprano lines and a friend sings both alto and we layer them, they are beautiful classic barbershop harmonies and a wonderful selection of songs
This is a book filled with the perfect love songs that you could ever think of. It's also wonderful as it is listed with chord letters above the staves so if having to play without seeing the music, there is some reference of the chord at a glance which makes the improvisation easier.
This is excellent and contains many of Debussy's finer pieces however it didn't contain all of his chords in a sense, as to make it easier alot of his chords were cut down for simpler pianists to manage, this is wonderful as it allows less experienced pianists to play his pieces but i would also suggest listening to these pieces in full as they were written my Debussy as well, so that you can appreciate and embrace what is missing, as Debussy wrote his music how he wrote it and it should only ever be remembered in the state he wrote it, not cut down
It is excellent for easy piano however I feel with the simplification, a lot of Elgar's signature piano techniques have been ignored completely
Excellent for around Grade 3/4 standard
