This edition by Schirmer is well edited and arranged. The guidance at the beginning of the book aids you with certain aspects of the sonatas. Much of the sonatas' expressions are left to the player's discretion so a good record will help. However, page turning is very difficult because the book won't stay open which is quite annoying but it does encourage you to play from memory; it should be fine if you have a page turner. Overall, good value for money and great music.

Well edited version and easy page turning. Book stays flat since it is loosely bind and cover is glossy so can be cleaned. It has the complete set of preludes and fugues which makes this good value for money instead of buying separate Book 1 and Book 2. Contains grades 6 and Diploma level works. Overall, very pleased with the book and worth buying.
